Waste or co-products: metal hydroxide sludge
Origins: surface treatment (galvanization, coppering, nickel-plating, ect…)
With a low concentration of metal content, the recovery and treatment of filter cakes are not always easy. However, the experience shows that the processing can be envisaged.
One of the proposed solutions consists in drying the filter cakes in order to concentrate the metallic fraction. The secondary raw materials obtained are adapted for a subsequent industrial process.
These competences require specific know-hows on the upstream market of waste and co-products, but also on the downstream market and the use of secondary raw materials adapted to the industrial consumer process.
For instance, we can recover the metal fraction contained in metallic hydroxide sludge (to be compared to the metal content from ores).
